Tempe PRE is currently processing applications and contacting families according to the order of the lottery

The school year begins on July 23. Tempe PRE accepts children ages 3 and 4 who are fully potty-trained. Students must turn 3 by Aug. 31 to be eligible.

ALL Tempe resident families seeking financial assistance (free and half tuition) must apply for the DES child care subsidy at the same time they apply for Tempe PRE. Once they are selected for enrollment in Tempe PRE:

• Applications for free or half tuition will be part of a lottery. The city will randomly select applications for processing beginning Jan. 31.
• New applications will be pulled for processing every two weeks.
• Applications for full tuition are processed as they come into the city.

Tempe PRE is the City of Tempe’s high-quality, full-day preschool for three and four year olds. We are committed to kindergarten readiness with small class sizes, a play-based curriculum and early childhood-certified teaching staff – all at established neighborhood schools in the Tempe Elementary School District. 

We offer free and half-tuition options to income-eligible families who live in Tempe and a full-tuition option to all families.

Tempe PRE comenzará a contactar a las nuevas familias después de 31 de Enero.

• Las solicitudes para becas completas o medias becas serán parte de un sorteo. La ciudad seleccionará al azar las solicitudes para su procesamiento a partir del 31 de Enero.
• Las solicitudes para la matrícula completa se procesarán según vayan llegando a la ciudad.

El año escolar comienza el 23 de Julio. Tempe PRE acepta niños de 3 y 4 años de edad que están completamente entrenados para ir al baño. Los estudiantes deben tener 3 años cumplidos antes del 31 de Agosto.

TODAS las familias residentes de Tempe que buscan asistencia financiera (gratis y la mitad de la matrícula) deben solicitar el subsidio de cuidado infantil del DES una vez que sean seleccionadas para inscribirse en Tempe PRE.
