Introduction to Stand-up Paddling; Adult W/Youth

Bring your son, daughter, nephew, niece, sibling, or family friend to learn the basics of Stand-Up Paddling. Equipment provided. Prior experience is not required. Youth participants must be accompanied by a registered adult (No more than 3 youths per adult.).Adult Fee: $30. Youth (10-17) Fee: $15. 480-350-8069

Stand-Up Paddling Fitness

Once you have learned the basics of SUP, stay in shape by taking SUP Fitness. This class will focus on fitness and advanced paddling technique. Prerequisite: Introduction to Stand-Up Paddling or commensurate experience. Class time subject to change with season. 480-350-8069

SUP Information
A few things to remember about SUP’s on Tempe Town Lake: 
    1) All SUPs will need a permit like any other vessel on TTL. 
    2) All SUP paddlers will need to be wearing a leash or a PFD. It is not enough to have them with you; one of the two must be worn. 
    3) Lake traffic pattern (counter clock wise flow) must be followed at all times. 
    4) If you are paddling before sunrise or after sunset you will need navigation lights attached to your board. These can not be attached to your body or your PFD. 
    5) Launching can only be done from boat beach or the marina. 
    6) The Rental Vendor (Tempe Boat Rentals) located at Tempe Beach Park will have boards to rent and renters will launch from the south shore by the rental kiosk. No private owners may launch from this location.
