Spring Training Baseball

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim play at Tempe Diablo Stadium. 
Two other Spring Training stadiums are within 10 minutes of downtown Tempe: Cubs play at Sloan Park and the Oakland Athletics play at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.

Hiking and Biking

Not only does Tempe have a quick mountain hike in the middle downtown, there are amazing regional parks within 20 minutes, such as the nation's largest regional park, South Mountain, Camelback Mountain, Papago Park and many others. Go mountain biking, hike to the top or grab your bike and ride the Indian Bend Wash Greenbelt for more than 40 miles.

Tempe Parks

Tempe has a public park every mile. They are great gathering places for the community. 
Kiwanis Park is truly a community treasure. Walk around the 1-mile lake. Peddle a boat there. Picnic, fish, play ball or hang out at the playground. Also in the park is a batting cage, a wave pool, tennis facility and more.
