Recreation Center Employment Opportunities

ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK

Hourly Wage:  $16.10/hour 
Schedule: Various shifts. Monday-Saturday 11a.m.-8:p.m. Schedule will vary from 10-20 hours per week.
Location: North Tempe Multi-Generational Center
Essential Job Functions: Assist in the daily operations of the center including (but not limited to) setting up classrooms, configuring class registrations, answering phones, serving meals and more.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Schedule: Flexible; Tuesday through Friday; hours will range between 8 AM – 3:30 PM. Scheduled hours will be approx. 25 hours per week; 4 days a week.

Essential Job Functions: The Program Coordinator position is a customer service role working with the senior population. Job duties include facilitating and assisting in instructional activities for retirees and leading in meal preparation and clean up for luncheon events in a commercial kitchen, weekly.

Qualifications: Experience in recreation programming, operation of a community center, and working with the senior adult population is preferred. Experience cooking for large numbers. Some college level coursework in recreation, gerontology and/or related field is preferred.
