2026 City of Tempe Elections

The City of Tempe will hold elections for three seats on City Council in 2026. The Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, and the General Election, if necessary*, will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

*According to Tempe City Charter Sec. 7.01, if no more than six candidates file for the three City Council seats, the Primary Election may be dispensed with, and the General Election will occur on March 10, 2026.

Primary Election Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026

Last Day to Vote Early in Person: Friday, March 6, 2026
Election Day! Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Ballots will be mailed to to every eligible registered voter in the City of Tempe starting Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.
Complete, sign, and return your ballot by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to ensure it is received on time.

In-Person Voting

Early voting locations will open on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.
Vote in person on Election Day, March 10, 2026, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
