Tempe is seeking feedback to help guide how the city uses federal funds to meet community needs such as affordable housing, a bridge shelter for people who are homeless, household repairs and sustainable “green” housing rehabilitation.

Input received through Tempe’s Community Needs Assessment will:

  • Help prioritize decisions for federally-funded programs and grants
  • Highlight the development needs in our community
  • Make a difference for affordable housing

Feedback will be used to create Tempe’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Tempe receives federal funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs.
