LadyHawks Mission Statement:

LadyHawks Softball program is designed to offer age-appropriate skills and games for young players ages 5 through 14 years. It is our goal to have each player experience: Maximum Participation, Skill Development, Sportsmanship, Friendly Competition and Fun.

10U Fast Pitch: Games start week of February 17, 2025 
Practices held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Games will be held on Saturdays: 8a, 9:30a, 11:00a

12U Fast Pitch: Games start February 17, 2025
Practice will be held on Mondays/Wednesdays and Saturdays. Games will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. 

14U Fast Pitch: Games start February 17, 2025
Games will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. 
Games held on either Tuesdays/Thursdays or Saturdays.  

Guaranteed playing time, along with skill development, friendly competition and good sportsmanship is the foundation of the LadyHawks program.

Complete the registration (click the link above) or by going to: tempe.gov/play  → sports-youth → registration → type in the search box for "Ladyhawks".

Getting the Activity code is also a very good way to search.

Select your participant's age division and click on the blue "Enroll Now" button.

**Please note, you must create an account or have an existing account in order to complete enrollment**

Sign up individually or bring a complete team. All skill levels are welcome. You do not need to be a Tempe/Guadalupe resident to register but must be a resident to qualify for the scholarship program.

FAQ'S
  •  What if I can't afford the youth program?
    • Scholarships are available for Tempe and Guadalupe residents. Scholarships cannot be done online they must be done in person at the recreation office, 3500 S. Rural Rd, Suite 201 (Tempe Public Library).
  • What equipment do I need to purchase?
    • Strongly advised for all ages: a personal helmet with a face guard and a water bottle.
      • T-ball/8U Machine Pitch: Glove. Bats and other necessary equipment will be provided. (Jersey and hat will be supplied).
      • 10U: Long pants and glove. All other necessary equipment will be provided. (Jersey will be supplied).
      • 12U/14U: Long pants, rubber cleats (no metal cleats allowed for any age division, including our summer high school league), sliding shorts, at least one shin guard is highly suggested, and a glove. Face masks, at this level, are not required by the league, but are highly suggested (especially for players interested in pitching or playing 1st or 3rd base). All other necessary equipment will be provided (jersey will be supplied).

  • How can I help? How do I get involved?
    • Parent volunteers are welcome and are essential for successful organizations. Please do not hesitate in asking how you can assist in participating in your child's journey to the next level. Not all positions will fit all teams. THESE ARE ALL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS.
      1. Assistant coach: Assists coaching staff
      2. Scorekeeper: Keeps line up cards, score at all games, and information on other teams and players.
      3. Snack List/Calendar Keeper: Builds a schedule so everyone shares the responsibilities of providing healthy snacks/food, drinks. Include all dates, practices if appropriate, and contact info to send reminders to the team.
      4. Communications Coordinator and Administrative Assistant: Provides accurate directions to the fields, practices and communicate team business. Helps locate, reserve, and book practice fields.
      5. Site Helper/Shade Tent: Organizes additional shading areas to set up for the team. Reviews dugout for all personal items and trash after the games.
      6. Social Committee/ Host Plan: Schedules (and potentially hosts) team social events for the members of the team for team building purposes.
      7. Other: Any position(s) that you think are important.
