Thank you to all of the neighbors who provided input on the location and design of a ramada for Alegre Park! The feedback received showed support for a 20’ x 20’ picnic ramada just east of the playground at the picnic area.

Alegre Park improvements:

• New ramada
• New shade structure and artist designed rubber surfacing at playground
• New trees
• New picnic tables, grills and electrical pedestals at the ramadas

Park Construction impacts:

The playground will be closed for the entire duration of the project. There will still be access to the field.

The improvements are funded out of the city’s Capital Improvement Program budget, as part of the Parks Improvement Plan, which is reinvesting more than $60 million into Tempe parks over the next five years . Additional modifications or enhancements to other park amenities are not included in the budgeted amount.
